I've spent a fair amount of time with it since I did a session using it for DevCon. That I can say that is probably the biggest compliment I could give. I've done SQL sessions a lot of times in the last 7 years. Except for DevCon '95, where my topic was specifically the Query Designer and View Designer, I've never before used the tool in a session.
Specific changes:
-two-way editing between the SQL window and the Designer pane;
-if the Designer can't parse your query (which won't happen much), it gives you the option of just working with in the code window;
-the sequential style of join is the default, but you can choose for each join whether you want sequential or nested;
-you can set the priority of joins in the query to force the order you want;
-you can use parens in join expressions, filter expressions and having expressions;
-the SQL window shows the DBSETPROP()'s for views;
-you can add local aliases for tables;
-you can add column names for the result.
I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can remember right now.
