I agree with Craig on the XP Home issue. Not on business machines or on a network AT ALL. Strictly use Windows 2000 Professional or XP PRo. If the machines running Windows 2000 are lacking some hardware drivers, go to the hardware manufacturer's website and download them.

However, while I use XP Pro personally, I disagree with Craig in that XP Pro has not proven to be more stable than Windows 2000 Professional (yet). I agree that XP Pro is definitely more user-friendly and easier to install given all of the built-in drivers for hardware that W2K was lacking, but all of our W2k pro workstations have proven to be the most stable OS so far. That is what I have seen with our customers and aslo in the govt with 15000 users that have an array of Win98, W2kPro, NT4, and XP Pro.
