In your Office automation book, page 155 indicates there is an alternate means of detecting if Excel is already running. It further indicates the alternative is in the Print Preview section later in the chapter.

I can't seem to find that alternative <g>. Can you help? I'm using Excel 2002 and I'm trying to detect if Excel is already running without starting Excel. I supposed I could use George Tasker's Is_Run32.

Please advise.
