Hi David,

>Just to be clear I'm not advocating the violation of any licensing restrictions. I do believe that the ActiveX controls can be purchased in an SDK from Kodak.

I didn't think for a moment that you were advocating licence violation and apologise if such an inference could be drawn. I was sharing my thoughts and my reasons for making my own purchase of the controls.

Regards,

Liam

>>Thanks for the info. I do remember reading something somewhere about migrating the controls to XP. For an in-house application, I imagine that this would be sufficient.

In addition, I seem to recall the migration procedure was a little involved. I need the installation procedure to be as simple and pain-free as possible. For these reasons I opted to buy the controls rather than try to migrate the Wang/Kodak controls. However, if it was for personal or in-house use, I'd probably spend the time migrating and save the money.
