Sorry, it has been a couple of years since I've touched FPD. I don't even have it installed in my machine any more, so I can't access the help system to even try.

However, try to make the button caption = "" ( I do not recall whether you can do this with FPD)

Perhaps a trick you could use is to try to place an empty one line window in the same position, or issue an @ row,col clear to @ row, col. Sometimes, it is just a question of cleaning the underlying area where the button will show. Or, if your construct is within a window, maybe you should use a CLEAR immediately after you activate the window and before you issue your @ row,col ...get... code
