After I build my distribution disks and install the disks to a
target system, I get an error message that some files might be
damaged in the disks and the installation refused to continue.
The following is the exact error message.

Setup Error 278

Object 7.
Your setup files may be damaged. Try restarting
the setup program from where you originally ran
it.

Further checking and testing reveals that a component i added
to the form might be the cause.
The component in question: a subclass I built out of the
MSCOMM32.ocx control. This control works fine under VFP,
but gives me the error when I install the distribution disks
to a target PC. The error occurs on the first disk.

The following is what I did in creating the subclass control
and how I build my app disks:

I build a control out of MSCOMM32.ocx, which i name Comm32
and save in TestComm.vcx, drop this control in my form. All
works well and runs well.

Before building my exe file, I've included the TestComm.vcx in
the project manager, rebuild project, then build my exe.
Then in building my distribution disks using the setup wizard,
Visual Foxpro Runtime is selected, then the activeX control is
selected, "Microsoft Communication Controls Version 6" is then
checked in the add activeX control dialog box.
In step 6 - change file settings, I checked the activeX box
against the item MSCOMM32.ocx (target dir is WinSysDir), checked
the PMitem box against the exe file, all seem without problem.
Then I proceed to finish building the disks.
The error message appears from the first setup disk right after
i click the large install button.

This problem has been haunting me for quite some days and I'm
anxious to get rid of it. Someone who had experince this same
problem before can give me some directions? Thank you.
