Hi everyone!
Just want to say that I already found what the problem was -- I was setting _screen.backcolor before docking by custom toolbar. Docking the toolbar first then setting _screen.backcolor gave me the outcome that I was looking for.
Thanks anyways to those who tried to find a solution to my problem.
