All,

I have an abstract component base class I want to subclass. When I attempt to open the subclass I get the following message:

An error occurred while loading the document. Fix the error, then try loading the document again, The error message follows:

The designer must create an instance of type "ODHControls.ODHBusinessObjectBase" but it can't because the type is defined as abstract

Is it not possible to create a subclass of an abstract class, and if so, isn't this an paradox, a class the must be subclassed, but can't be subclassed because the base class is abstract???

TIA

Rex
