Hello,
I'm working with IT to set up a server to run NT4 and SQL Server 2000. IT wants to link two 18GB drives as one volume through the OS for the data file. It seemed to me that linking them at the controller with RAID 0 (disk stripping, no parity) would be better. At the very least, I assume the controller would efficiently stip the data between the two drives, as opposed to NT, which will fill up one drive before moving to the next. (There's a question whether the RAID 5 controller could be configured as RAID 0.)
Is there any problem with SQL Server 2000 and a volume NT creates from two drives? Any major issues which should make me put me foot down? Or does it not matter?
TIA
