Probably the anonymous user of the Web application (by default the local machine account IUSR_machinename) has no rights to access the novell server.

If this is the case, you should configure -thru the Internet Services Manager- a domain account, which has the required rights, as anonymous user for the Web app.

Another way to go would be to disable the anonymous user, thus forcing each user to autenticate and using their own security permissions.
