How to create a SQL2K trigger that updates other fields?

Hi friends!
I have to update a datetime field whenever any other field of certain record has been modified so I know when that record was last modified. I know that I should use a trigger for update but I can't find a way to do it. I use remote views in VFP. My database is SQL Server 2000. Any help would be appreciated.
