I have an app that performs a batch operation, once a day, where many rows are updated in sql server, using a mix of updatable SPT cursors, RV's. There are several issues I need to work through to improve the performance.
I was considering changing the batchupdatecount property of the views (from 1 to some higher value - not sure what). However, according to one thread I read on here: Thread ID:
585473 there appears to be a bug with associated with this, or that it doesn't work as advertised. Can anyone shed some light on this beyond what is discussed in that thread? It sure would be nice if if I could improve the performance of my tableupdates(), but obviously I don't want to break my code.
