I've had the opposite problem, the control on an invisible pageframe was getting focus before the frame was becoming visible. The code in activate was also calling the resizer, so the textbox (without border, but with cursor in it) was appearing in its default position, and then appeared again where it should be. It would remain so doubled until the page.refresh.
The thing which eventually solved it was to prevent the (framework) code from giving it focus while the pageframe is invisible. Actually, the pageframe was visible, but it was a member of a container which was not.
