While I think learning C# is a very good idea, I am perplexed as to why folks see this situation as an all-or-non operation. There is no reason to leave the UT. The information exchanged here is applicative in many areas and not just VFP. One does't need top forsake one language to begin using another.
I think the reason that these discussions of alternative tools so often become flame wars is because folks ahven't yet realized that you can have your cake and eat it too in programming languages. VFP can create tools consumed by C# and C# can create tools consumed by VFP. Thete is really no need to leave the VFP world.
