I have an EE and I'm not sure why I got it. I did work for the State of Calif and helped design radio equipment for the CHP but it has helped little with the computer industry. Only one customer in 18 years ever asked me to provide my background. One asked me what I had published (minor stuff for the local computer groups). Other than that I can't think of any benefit from going to college.

Believe me when I say it brothers me daily. My last child is 13 and I keep telling her that she must attend college to get ahead. But I don't believe it. I guess it's not really lying because it has and does help others.
