fromHi.
Just a note to all who responded to this thread.
I found all your comments extremely useful, and at this point in time, I am tending to go for XFRX. The demo seemd to work fine, it seems to be very easy to install with little disruption at users site (e.g. No Printer driver required) and can be run with just one command.

Thanks again for all your help.

regards,

Gerard

>Just a little note - the advantage of XFRX is that the output is not limited to what VFP sends to the printer, so, for example, you can:
>- merge more VFP reports into one document
>- create hyperlinks in the document
>- generate bookmarks
>- set various document properties (author, subject, keywords, etc.)

>It actually doesn't need any instalation at clients - it's built in into your application.

>>Hi.
>>I'm looking at putting in an option on my APPS to output reports to PDF format , so they can be emailed. (I've chosen PDF as they seem to be the most secure in that a recipient would need a PDF writer to amend the documents , which I dont want happening)
>>
>>I've seen refernece to a few here in download section , but would be very interested in getting feedback from anybody who actually uses such utilities in a working APP.
>>The sort of criteria i'll be deciding on would be as follows:
>>
>>Ease of installation with minimum dependencies ... Quite important
>>Price .... Not that important
>>Speed .... Quite inportant
>>Ease of installation ... Important
>>
>>The utility does not necessarily have to be VFP based but it must be able to output a VFP report to PDF
>>
>>I would appreciate any comments / feedback
