One way to increase performance - but I don't think this will help with your resource problems - is to use a PageFrame, and use delayed instantiation. This means that all object that belong on Page2, for instance, are placed in a Container, and the Container is added to Page2 as soon as you activate it (if it wasn't there already, from a previous click on Page2).
