This is not about you or others slamming each other.
Just wish to agree with you that it is OK to stretch a language beyond its optimal area when you consider the time and energy required to master one. I have a limited amount of those, so I appreciate VFP's ability to do many things well. Even though it is not the best tool for all tasks it provides me with a good return on learning and developing time, and time is my scarce resource. This is a rational conclusion and I do not feel any less because I don't know many other languages. It would be nice but it's not in the cards.
Some day C# programmers will react the same towards the many new languages available then.
