Heya -
when I was looking at the cert list last year - for MCSD there was an elective for SQL that counted as a requirement for MCDBA. And there was an elective for MCDBA (a VFP exam) that counted as a requirement for MCSD.
So if you mixed and matched properly - you could take 6 exams (total) and get both certs. If ya dinna mix and match properly - it would have taken 8 exams. I never saw a VFP exam being listed as a requirement in the MCDBA - just only as an elective. mondo regards [Bill]

>Andrew is absolutely right. Only the distributed ones have been electives, this is also the case for the VB6 and VC6 distributed exams.

>>To the best of my recollection, the requirements for MSDBA were never "70-156 & 70-155 (VFP Desktop & Distributed) + 70-100 + elective". These exams are what got me my MCSD though. MCDBA is much more focused on SQL Server, but it does allow 70-156 as the elective.

>>>Coming back from vacation, I noticed that Microsoft replaced the MCDBA certification requirements from 70-156 & 70-155 (VFP Desktop & Distributed) + 70-100 + elective to 70-156 being an elective & Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) on Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000 certification 70-028 / 70-228 (SQL Server 7 & 2000)...
>>>
>>>So much for VFP Desktop & MCDBA
