I'd suggest looking at the WSH's VBScript.RegExp object - a Regular expression parser implemented as a COM object callable from VFP quite easily. If you search my older messages, you'll find a number dealing with using it in VFP; as a reference I recommend Wrox Press' "VBScript Programmer's Reference Guide" which covers the object in detail, albeit from a VBScript standpoint, but the syntax is very close to the Fox syntax.
