>The Server is running Windows 2000, with a pentium III of 1 Ghz, 390 RAM, IDE Hard Drive of 40 Gb, Lan 10/100.

My feeling is that for any significant load, the server is underpowered - our typical low-end TS box, a Dell 1400, is less than $2000 with dual PIII/850s, 1/2GB RAM, dual 18GB SCSI drives, with dual NICs and an additional 256MB of RAM pushing it to just over $2300 a few months ago.
