Hello All,

I just took delivery of a new 1.7Ghz Dell laptop with XP Pro and a huge (40Gb) hard drive. I am about to install VFP and use this system as a mobile development environment. I like the idea of doing development on the D: drive, keeping my the source code out of the OS clutter. There is more than 35Gb free space on C:, and I would like to split (partition?) that into two.

Can this be done without reinstalling the OS and applications?

Should the split be done 20-20, or can I do 16-24?

Will there be a problem with 'renaming' the CD-RW/DVD drive from D: to something else?

TIA,
Randy Bosma
