Hi.
Quite often, I am out on site and need to upload a new version, or change the structure of a file where I need exclusive use.

I normally phone around the company (can be spread over a no. of floors) for users to exit out, but inevitably theres always some user still logged in.

Is there any way from within the OS (NT4,Win2000 ,XP,Win 98) of displaying a screen which shows all open files currently being used and which PC has them open across the network.
(If anybody remmbers the Novell Monitor utility, this is what I am looking for. it showd for each Workstation a view of all currently opened files)
I would like something similar at the client PC.
