Gary,
>Make sure that your grid's recordsource is set to the child table. In column 2 of the grid, set its control source to a form.method you are going to create, say Thisform.grandChildDescript(). So, in column2's control source, literally type :- Thisform.grandChildDescript() - don't put quotation marks or anything like that around it. <
I just about have it working correctly - just a couple (well, three) points of clarification.
1- When the grid first comes up, it is blank. However, if I close the Child form and re-open it... it is populated. Am I missing something on this to make this appear when the form is first opened.
2- I am having trouble in the 2nd column of my grid (the column with the description). If I am using the txtTextBoxCustom control in that column and I click in it - the description dissappears and the category value from Column 1 takes it place. When I move off that row, the description again appears. Just in testing this, I noticed that if I use a txtQuckFill control - it works ok.
3 - How do I make column one do incremental search.
Other than this, the navagation is working correctly, etc.
And, as always I appreciate your help. I know this would have taken me much longer to do this without your help. I feel some stars a coming <g>.
