That's an interesting idea, may be I can ask for it. Tracy, how about we move this discussion to e-mails? May be you can send me some sample questions as well. The person, I talked to today, told me, that the questions would be related to the position. I re-read the position description, it doesn't really fits me.

>Hi Nadya, I once took a similar test telephonically (the job was out-of-state). It covered a lot of BASIC stuff and most of it was terminology I learned in school that I had not used in YEARS (20 or more!). I passed the test, but I giggled through most of it because the questions were really silly and I couldn't think of any reason why I would need to know some of the information as it was never used in so many years. My suspicion was that it was management's idea of required knowlege and not done by an experienced IT person at all. It appeared that they grabbed questions out of books for 1st year students :o) Even though they offered me the job, I declined it in the end because I was leary of working for a management that used that system to hire. I've taken verbal and written tests for other positions (and even written the tests myself at times) that were more experience-oriented and helped demonstrate knowledge and experience in the field.

>Will they let you take it telephonically? No chance of looking up answers that way if they are on the phone with you and they ask you the questions.

>>I'm not sure. Actually, I need to understand, if they are interested in me or they just want more people to take this test. They are not going to pay for the travell expanses. I found a flight for $156, but I need to know in advance, if it will be worth to spend this amount.

Recreate the table using the program and append from this freed table (you have to move in to another place first).

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
