A combination of the prior things you mentioned did take care of most the quirks, so I am getting close to being done - and you are closer to getting a handful of stars <bg>.

This works great for the Column 1, however Column 2 gives an error "Grid l-search workarea doesn't match cWorkarea." This is the column that is populated with the THISFORM.catcodedescript() which does the seek and populates this column. Anyway to make this column sortable?, or if not just disabling it so it could not be selected would suffice I would think as long as you can see the value in it. Can either of these be done?
