Hi Keith,
>>>As you can see, I link the two tables via the Company field. The problem I am having is that I want to put table 1 into a grid and then have the user see the Description field of table2. When the focus comes to the company field I want to have a drop down list of the available companies from table 2. How do I do this??? I am stumped at the moment and could use some friendly help!
>>>
>>>Thanks!

>I have already done that. I add a combobox to the column, and when focus is on that column, I get the list of descriptions that I want and the combo box fills in the proper company ID into the company field in table1. The problem is that when focus leaves that column, the field that is displayed is the company ID field. Anyone have any suggestions?
First, u need to have Sparse property of column 1 set to .F.
Second, u may reverse the order in wich u show the columns in the combo, having first de description and then the ID, and set the BoundColumn property of the combo set to 2.
