Hi,

I have had problems getting Active Movie Control (its amovie.ocx in the documentation) to load on to a form. I think it may have been left out of Windows XP.

But, provided that you can cope without .mov file types, and have Windows Media Player available on your machine, you can add wmp.ocx to the list of ActiveX controls available in the Form Controls Toolbar. This will do .avi, .wav and .mid plus others. I don't know why it doesn't support .mov files.

To use the control, plonk it on a form and set the FileName property to the name of the file you want to play.

Alan
