You're welcome, it is a feature of FoxPro that is often overlooked by people used to C style (Algol styled?) languages. Incidentally, the stepped variable is treated diffently than a standard FoxPro variable inside of the loop in that an error is generated if you assign a value to it of another type inside the loop.
