My code uses new ADDPROPERTY() function not ADDPROPERTY() method. So, nothing changed in VFP8 in that respect.
>In VFP7, Type() would not evaluate an object method. It worked on built-in functions, but not on udf's or on object methods. See Vlad's message #

>>>Well, I suppose then that means that all our guesses are kind of out to lunch. Vlad makes a very good point about the overriding of Object methods. There seems to be little, if any, difference (thinking in terms of either performance or risk) in running a udf or an overridden method. Certainly VFP can't know ahead of time where either will lead.

>>>Where that leaves us, I'm not sure, unless it is nothing more than an oversight on the part of the VFP developer team. But since the object method side of it got 'fixed' in VFP8, I doubt it's an oversight.

>>>Just one of those things, I guess.
