Gary,
>Do you have a new button at the child form level too? Do you have a value specified in the button's cWorkarea property, if so, what is it?<
Well, that was the problem. I for sure had the correct property set in the cWorkArea, but it was in all Lower case such as workareaname instead of Workareaname. I realized from early on that when you have a field or table/view name in a method that it was case sensitive. But, I just didn't realize it was that sensitive when assigning values in the Properties window.
Unfortunately I have been stung by CodeMine on this one before, and it still itches. I assume from now on that I should always operate on the assumption that anytime I have a field or table/view name it MUST be in proper case. Just easy for me to forget this sometimes.
>Maybe you changed the data source from a table to a view? Anyhow, you can clear this value down in the builder (or set it False in the cursor's property sheet).<
Yes I did change this from a table to a view. For clarification are you saying I need to uncheck the exclusive when I move from a table to a view, as CDE will always check the Exclusive?
Again, thanks a million. You have been a tremendous help as always.
