Thanks for the tips, the SendMessage() and PostMessage() functions promise to do exactly what I require.

However, most of the stuff I've found on the web is a bit vague, and I would love to know if anyone knows of any good example code, especially regarding using the WM_DDE_EXECUTE message

I have a foxpro ddeserver, set up using the ddesetservice() and ddesettopic() commands, and I would like to interact with the server from either vb or c#.
