I am assuming that your concern on the delete issue is where I stated that I have to delete the table and re-create it.

When the table dissappears and the app becomes unuasable the table is still listed in the data table of the project. If I click on the table name in the list to browse or modify I get a dialog box that the file cannot be located. Options are locate, delete, cancel. I click the delete button to remove the entry from the project so I can create it again.
