No, you misunderstood again. I meant, it's typical association with working camps and Soviet Union. However, pioneer or summer camps for kids are the same, as in USA (or almost the same). E.g. it's fun and different kind of activities, no labor.

>Well, in that case it is not like our summer camps at all. Our summer camps are supposed to be fun-filled exercise and games camps for our children. What they really are is 24-hour daycare in the summer. If labor was involved, well I can hear the outcries (and suits) already!

>>That's just an association of Soviet Union with working camps. That was true for quite a period of time in Stalin's regime...

>>>Ok, I get it. Also, you did NOT spell pioneer incorrectly at all. I just misunderstood! :o)

>>>>>>
>>>>>>They usually get up at 8, then have an hour to do morning exercises, washing, etc., then eat, then have different activities, then eat at 2pm, then have sleep time, then eat again, then evening activities, then eat again :))
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Funny to write about it...

>>>>>>>How could they wait to eat breakfast til 9:00am? Haven't they already started work by then? If so, do they get a breakfast break? Also, if you do not get off work til 5:30pm then how do you eat supper at that time? What are the typical work hours?

>>>>>>>>>>Hi Jim, even though I replied already, I just noticed the detail in your title of this thread: hot lunch (some call it dinner). This is interesting because growing up in Wisconsin, dinner was the evening meal or referred to as we usually called it: supper. Here in NC, dinner is lunch or supper, you only know by the time of day it is!

>>>>>>>>>Some cultures insist that the heaviest meal be eaten at midday. This allows the system to digest food better. Other cultures will eat the evening meal at 11 PM (many members of my wife’s family in Spain are accustomed to this).
>>>>>>>>>

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
