I'm guessing you're talking about 'Eclipse', and if Forte and JBuilder are too complex for simple stuff, then 'Eclipse' (IMHO) is going to be the learning curve from hell.

I'm not saying it isn't an excellent piece of software, I'm just saying that compared to Forte and JBuilder, it's such a paradigm shift that it's liable to seem like something from another planet.
