I'm almost sure that this is not possible. Such products like Anti-Viruses does not care about General field, because its structure is not known and very hard to manipulate outside of VFP. I can bet they even did not knew about possibility to store Word doc into General field inside of FPT file < g >. I think there are no such command-line options, and thus files should be extracted to temp files on disk for scanning.
BTW, this might be a new idea to spread the VFP world by new MS Word doc virus < vbg > - by VFP's general fields.
