I'm still amazed how a memorial service for an individual that died in a plane crash turned into a Democratic Party convention in total disregard to the other members on the plane, their interests, accomplishments, as well as the interests and accomplishments of the Senator. No wonder any other party representatives (Republican specifically and a few Independents) walked out when it became clear that it was not a tribute to a man and his accomplishments but a tool to get Democratic votes.

>Minnesota will probably be a disaster, with the Senate race ending in the courts (and what the hell is Mondale doing now, sorry to offend anyone who is religiouslly loyal to the Democratic party but this guy doesn't represent Minnesota at this point). Perhaps some hope will come from our Governer race. We have a Democrat, Republican, Independent, and a Green. In the polls there is a three way tie between the D, R, and I. Another Indepent win in Minnesota (after Ventura) would be a pleasant surprise.

>What about Florida? After the 2000 election, I'm left to wonder if it can actually get worse, or better. Considering it appears as if we've taken the "Your vote doesn't count, get over it" approach, I doubt democracy will prevail there anytime soon.

>And you gotta wonder about Jeb. Seriouslly, the people of America, AND THEIR LEGISLATORS want Cuba to open to trade and tourism. Bush GW, in the White House says no. What?! Who does this guy think he is? Once again, broken record Bush defends his stance calling Cuba a "repressive regime".

>The bright said to all this is that there are some people that did learn some good lessons from the 2000 elections. And they're coming here to see how we do this year:
