SNIP...>But the main obstacle is the non commitment from Microsoft. I've been deveoping Fox application for about 12 years, I saw FoxPro be bought by Microsoft, It was the first Xbase product in a Windows workd, It was the First Object oriented Xbase product. Microsost always use it as a ginea pig but never promote it's.

I will agree that MS never seemed to promote VFP the way we all think they should. This is YOUR problem, and not your new director's problem, right?

But, really, I don't see much difference in how they promote their other languages (allowing that .NET itself is NOT a "language").

There was a hint (and maybe I read too much into it) that this could change with VFP8. KenL specifically mentioned Delphi (as well as Clipper) as being 'targets' for VFP8. This being the case, there may be a need to promote VFP8 to those people if there is to be hope of realizing this goal.
