FFM is F rank f urt / M ain. Main is the river that flows through the Frankfurt where the conference is. FFM is a common abreviation for the city name. The airport code for Frankfurt/Main is FRA. So these two different abreviations might have caused the confusion.

There is also another Frankfurt called Frankfurt/Oder (again a river) in the east of Germany located at the German/Polish border. I don't know if they have an airport where international flights are going to ...
