Tom,

On my Win XP-Home system (SP1) the clock control (when d-clicking on the time at lower-right ofscreen) has a tab called "Internet Time" and it seems to periodically synchronize the system time using time.windows.com.

I don't remember setting an interval, nor even turning it on, but it's there and it seems to happen.
