Saying VFP is dying is a great way to get more money from the IT department
Great way for me to learn new skills because we'll be forced to convert the apps to some other product...

It forces my clients/employers to build new applications...

Massive conversion projects obfuscates upper managment's judgement of IT department.

And when the in house VFP 'expert' is wandering around saying Fox is dying...

In short,
More money and no way to measure how well the money is being spent...

sounds like nirvana to me...
