I was a professional musician until I was 26yrs old. I sung, played guitar, piano -- and viola in the city orchestra (when I was in my teens).

I know all about that. My mam and dad used to come and see me playing in pubs and clubs when I was 14 or 15. The noise was painfull, but they smiled and clapped and told me that I had done well - straight faced <s>.
