Alejandro -
I'm UP FOR THIS - absolutely.
did you ever get involved in the MSDN ISV program from a few years ago? there were some decent marketing hooks in/out of MS for that program. I can't say the same would work here, but my brain has been spinning this weekend about events and news releases.

Here's some cool immediate concepts:
1. I would suggest you contact your local newspapers and put in a version of the MS blurb about VFP8 beta [would you need to translate for Panama?] complete with url's and email addresses ...
2. do a one-hour standup at your local chamber of commerce - showing how easy it is to build an app [with the builders of course]
3. get out to your local university [the one that teaches computer science] and do a standup on OOP to the CS students there [using VFP as your tool of course] - somewhere I have Andy Kramek's power point slides and pjx files for this... I think its still up on the dfwfpug.org web site...
4. flood devx.com web site not only with the announcement, but with answers to data questions - like 'if you were using VFP you wouldn't be having client license issues with SQL - for you wouldn't be USING SQL' 'you can get to the data much quicker if you use VFP' 'SOAP with DATA? use VFP - it's the only combination that works, gumby.'

nuff for you - you get the general idea - and you can tailor it to your own environs.

MONDO REGARDS!!!
esta VFP!

>This a call to all VFP fans to take the unique opportunity given to us by the public VFP8 beta and do a grassroots marketing campaign for VFP.
>
>MS is giving us the ammunition. Let's burn CDs with the beta (that is alright since it is a public beta) and give them to all to try. Let's teach VFP to all our acquaintances and promote the heck out of it.
>
>This will be great fun and also bring continued support to VFP, since more resources ($ from sales) will be available and that will be good for us.

>What do you say?
