Isn't that better done within the context of the wishlist itself, so that the community can share in the dialog?

I understand it's working well from your point-of-view, but you are missing participation from some elements in the community, and not all the participants also feel it's working well. It's a bit of a chicken-egg question. You can't get the feedback from the people who don't like it, so you only see the feedback that it's working well. *shrug* But, it's your party, and I yield to the inevitable.
