Victor;

He was the founder and co founder of a number of companies but I know little about him. While I worked at Dalmo Victor (1967-74) I worked on the APS-109 Radar system, for the F-111 aircraft. This was an anvanced radar system that would define any of the then available threats, and used on board systems to respond. Little things like fire flares if an IR heat seaking missle was comming up your engine or weapon systems as required. We also built the anetnna systems for Apollo and LEM, along with many other products.

Dalmo Victor invented and developed the parabolic antenna by the way. A company named Ampex rented a small space from Dalmo Victor during the 1940's. Ampex went on to create the worlds first commercial audio tape recorder, invented video recording and a number of other things. Dalmo Victor was purchased by another company some years ago and the last I heard they moved to the southern part of San Jose, California.

>>By the way, there was a man I would like to know more about named Victor. He was associated with RCA, Dalmo Victor (Belmont California – I worked there for 7 years), and founded Victor Company of Japan, which became Japan Victor Company (JVC). Does anyone know anything about this person?
