Hi Reinaldo,
VB is like a son to Microsoft. VFP is an "adopted" son.
Definatelly, VB has more documentation to help you. But, in my opinion, you should decide for VB only if you are planning to (in a short-term) develop in VB.NET
Otherwise, you can mantain in VFP. VFP has a lot of potential to work with databases, specially when you use SQL Server has Back-end.
Me (and all the guys here) are listening about VFP's end since 1998. Microsoft is preparing VFP 8.0, so it seems not to stop, which is good.
But, if one day, Microsoft leaves VFP, don't worry: you have already developed with one of the best languages of the world, so you'll be confortable to learn any other :)
Cheers,
Ricardo
