Thanks Craig for replying,but if i want to create a autolog number and if i dont want any break in between,can't i do it with Vpf8 autonumber.

In access the autonumber is assigned only when you save can't we get the same behaviour


>The Autonumber feature is designed to assign primary keys to records. It shouldn't matter that the number doesn't revert as the PK should only be used internally for linking tables, etc.
