I guess I missed the other pages listed - XML Web Services, etc. It looks like what is required to do the "Back" button correctly is to build a true history stack (FILO), and move through that instead of attempting to use the browser's built-in history (so you can do things like skip the "Loading Pane" pages. Oh well, when I get some more time I'll have to add this.
