To all,

Well the title says it all. This started when I did an
ALLTRIM([database]![table].[fieldname]) and got a "Function name is missing )" error.

On further investigation "? [database]![table].[fieldname]" gets you a "Command contains unrecognized phrase/keyword" error.

I don't get it. [database]![table].[fieldname] is as specific a field defintion as you can get... VFP should be able to recognize it.

Am I missing a system setting or something?
