Hi Y'all,

Customer has a report where it prints out quite a bit of memo text on a form. Field is set to grow (natch) and most times everything works okay. But every now and then, the last line of a paragraph gets dropped - user can tell because the sentance appears incomplete. When they go into the actual database record, they see that the last line has been dropped.

This only seems to happen on the last line of a paragraph - but note that it does not have to be the last line in the memo field. It if often paragraph 2 or 3 out of say 5 paragraphs. I have tried a number of things but it is kind of wierd as I would expect truncation to happen on a line where the line goes right to the right margin and it has gotten truncated because VFP or the Printer driver calculates the line length improperly. But in every case, the dropped line is usually only a 1/2 or 2/3 of the max line length and so it does not seem like a mis calc on line length. I have also nuked out whatever was in the .frx for Tag, Tag2 and Expr in case the info there was throwing off the printer driver or something.

Because it is intermittent, not able to test very well so asking here. I have thought of doing one of the following:

1) changing the font from Arial 10 pt, Reg to some other font. Maybe font family is wonky

2) Is there a problem with CR/LF's ie. change them from CR/LF to CR or whatever they are in the table (on a temp basis for the report). (Though they seem to be CR/LF by default which to me would be the best form).

Any ideas?

Albert
